We had a terrific experience with Captain Dario and First Mate Khatrel. The day began with their picking us up in the boat by our our hotel, continued with a unique local experience learning about conch and trying delicious fresh-made conch salad prepared by a local legend, followed by swimming with the pigs, seeing the island used for filming Gilligan’s Island, snorkeling and beach time. The trip was personally curated for us and made for a perfect day. Captain Dario and First Mate Khatrel were both extremely professional and personable and made sure we enjoyed our experience. Highly recommended!!

We had an amazing day. The trip was tailored to cover things for the entire party. It was a great family day and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. The team really couldn’t do enough to make sure we all had fun and a trip to remember. Definitely worth it to get a real and tailored experience of Bahamian island life. It was great to see Montague fortress and we had so many amazing pictures. We were able to just relax and enjoy the day and it was a once in a lifetime experience.

We did a 5-hour private tour with Captain Dario through Tropic Sea Adventures, and I can’t say enough great things about this company and our captain! From the moment I first found their website and messaged through Facebook Messenger, the communication was incredible. Captain D answered all of my questions and helped me create a personalized itinerary based on our group’s interests.

Once we booked, he reached out about two weeks before our trip to alert me to some weather moving through the area. From about three days out until the morning of our tour, he kept in touch with updates about the forecast and any potential need to reschedule. Thankfully, everything went as planned!

The morning of our tour, the boat arrived 30 minutes early and was ready for us to come aboard. We were even picked up directly from our resort, which was such a convenient bonus.

Our first stop was at the local market, where we tried freshly made conch salad prepared by a well-known local. The kids each got to pick out a conch shell and were even taught how to blow it. It was such a fun and authentic way to experience Bahamian life.

Next, we stopped at a snorkeling spot. Captain D took safety very seriously, joining us in the water and providing noodles, snorkel gear, and a safety rope. It was my kids’ first time snorkeling, and I felt completely comfortable and confident thanks to the care he took.

Our third stop was at a floating restaurant where we enjoyed great food, swimming, and beautiful views. Our last stop was a secluded beach, where we spent the final part of the day relaxing and swimming in pure paradise.

Captain D navigated around some weather and handled everything with such professionalism and local knowledge to make sure our day wasn’t affected by the rain. Snacks and drinks were provided, and as a special surprise, he even arranged a birthday cake for my son so we could celebrate on board!

To top it all off, the first mate, Kito, took photos of our group throughout the day and sent them to us afterward. It was such an unexpected and thoughtful touch. He captured so many great action shots I never would’ve gotten myself.

Everything about this experience was above and beyond. I highly recommend Tropic Sea Adventures to anyone visiting Nassau. It was a true highlight of our vacation. Thank you, Captain D and Kito!
